Breaking: Erin O’Toole out of CPC

Arthur,
Erin O’Toole is out as CPC Leader, having just decisively lost the secret ballot vote held by Conservative MPs.
O’Toole, who has never made a habit of decisiveness or clarity, had uncharacteristically given his caucus a clear choice between what he called “two roads open to the Conservative Party of Canada”:

The road O’Toole didn’t want them to choose he characterized as angry, negative, extreme, and favoured by none other than me!
Conservative MPs, to their credit, soundly rejected O’Toole’s Trudeauesque rhetorical tactic, and now their party will begin the process of choosing a new leader.
Erin O’Toole’s leadership is over before it began, and therein lies the reason it is finished.

O’Toole was never a leader.

The problem was never where he stood, it was that he never stood anywhere.

And now he must stand down.

God Bless You and God Bless Canada!
