Editor’s Note: While covering the Quesnel Freedom Convoy on January 29th, 2022 I was most pleased to see the community spirit and support exhibited by Quesnel’s newest gas station and convenience store on 2 Mile Flat – Canco. When I passed by the long line of trucks and other vehicles going past Canco I observed the Owner/Manager Gill Singh running along Hwy 97 from vehicle to vehicle faster than Chester himself passing out cartons of their yummy Chester’s Chicken to the convoy participants.

It’s this type of support and patriotic concern for Canada and for our freedom as a nation by local businesses that make people stop and think about the actions of our governments and the depth of despair and unrest that have been created over the past 2 years of mandates, lockdowns, masks and forced “vaccines”.

It therefore behooves each and every one of us who believes in freedom and democracy to make a special effort to support any business who has the courage and foresight to stand up for their nation. So if you’re passing by Canco check your fuel gauge and your appetite and if either of them require filling up then please stop and support those who support the truckers and all that they stand for.
