The Only Thing We Have to Fear is Fear Itself

Some days I feel like I’m living in a dystopian nightmare. The sad thing is, we are much closer than I imagined. After looking up the definition of dystopian in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, I found it to be as follows: “of, relating to, or being an imagined world or society in which people lead dehumanized, fearful lives.”
Excluding the word imagined, this definition is playing out all too real. We are surrounded by fear. It is permeating every aspect of our society. It is destroying families and ripping relationships apart. With a steady diet of fear porn blaring from the boxes that surround us, we are being rapidly conditioned to become dehumanized. Sisters turn against brothers, mothers against daughters and we are so quick to blame everyone else for the chaos we find ourselves in. We cannot lose sight of who we are and the path that we are supposed to be on. We must have compassion towards one another. It is imperative that we dig deep and find some semblance of love and sympathy in our hearts towards our fellowmen and family members. This is the true nature of humanity. We cannot afford to lose it as the repercussions would be much too high. Imagine a world without it. A true dystopian nightmare. All that would emerge would end up being nothing more than a society of dysfunctional sociopaths.
No matter what your stance is regarding the current health plot or political climate, there is fear on both sides. We have to find a way to regulate it. No emotion is bad. Except when it is used in an unhealthy context which can cause us to make choices that we normally wouldn’t consider. Fear is a survival mechanism and in certain instances, it can save our life. It warns us when we should stand and fight, or when it is time to take flight. The problem occurs when we find ourselves in a constant state of fear or under a continuous threat. This is very damaging to our physical health as well as our mental state.
A steady state of fear will weaken our immune system. It will cause us to age faster, lead to heart problems, adrenal exhaustion and even damage our brain. One of the biggest issues it causes, is it takes away the ability to regulate our emotions. Our reasoning and judgement can become flawed. We tend to make poor choices or say things without thinking it through. We don’t investigate or ask appropriate questions and instead, may bury our heads in the sand, hoping it will all go away. This as we all know, can be devastating.
Our government and health officials understand this all too well. They know exactly the damage a constant state of fear can do to a society. This is where we have to ask ourselves why? If they were so concerned about the state of our health, why the non-stop programming of fear? Are they lying and if so, what are they lying about? Since when has questioning a policy become a crime? Why are thousands of doctors and scientists being silenced for daring to question the narrative? Why are a large portion of healthcare workers refusing this jab? Do we even know the ingredients in this shot? Why are they telling us it’s safe when thousands have had irreversible side effects and many have died? Why are we not being informed of these reactions? When has a medical procedure with life-altering side effects and death been coerced or forced on anyone, let alone a population? Why are they pushing an experimental vial of toxins onto children and why would we as a civilized society even consider it? What are the long-term effects of this so-called medication? When, in history, or even in our current time period, has it ever been okay to sacrifice a child for grandma? What are our death rates compared to previous years? Why are we forcing people, especially kids, to wear masks when they have already said several times they don’t work? The masks are a constant reminder of fear and will also further weaken our immune system. So why are they mandatory? When in history has something like this ever taken place and what was the outcome? Why is the majority of the population not asking these questions? Why does the government and health care officials all seem so hell-bent on causing division? Are we letting this narrative of fear program us, and in the process destroy our humanity? These are all questions we need answered before we can ever consider moving forward with any of their policies. If there is a crime being committed here, you cannot expect to go to the criminal and get an honest answer. It’s time to look at the other side. Do your own digging. Find out who the fact-checkers really are! Who’s paying them? Why is the government so afraid of a debate? This should worry every single one of us. Since when has segregating certain portions of society become acceptable to us? Have we not learned our past lessons? Are we doing more harm than good because of these fears?
So how do we overcome our fears and ensure that there is no dystopian destiny in our foreseeable future? We have to face them head-on. The unknown can be scary for a lot of people. Myself included. Ask questions and research. Do not use Google as your search engine. The truth has been buried, but the unwritten law of the internet is, it never goes away. Forget the fact checkers. They are not your friend. Once we know what we are dealing with, we may find ourselves moving from fear to anger. Like fear, anger can also be a useful emotion. We can’t expect to go straight from fear to a state of bliss. We have to work our way up. This is where anger comes in. Not a destructive anger, but a righteous one. The anger will give us the courage to confront the answers to these questions head on. Second, we need to unite. This starts by respecting each other’s differences, as well as opinions and choices. Start asking ourselves, what if the shoe was on the other foot? Recognizing the consequences of our actions during this time is critical. If we want to hold on to our humanity, we have to be willing to not only stand up, but speak up for the sake of our children and future generations at all costs. No one is coming to save us and we cannot look to our inept government to get us out of this mess. Especially, considering they are a big part of the problem. This is all on us! We cannot leave our children with nothing more than a legacy of fear especially when the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.
